"So, just who do you think you are? What's your name kid?"
"You can call me Stella. My family name is Matthews. So, I'm Stella Matthews."
"That's as good a name as any. How old are you?
"I'm twenty-two."
"What would be your role in our... current society?
"I'm a scavenger. I take pride in the fact I was on the varsity track team when I was in high school. Of course, that was before the world went to hell."
"You're a weird looking woman. You remind me a lot of Emma Watson.
How would you describe yourself? You a rebel? Or maybe you're more about niceties?
"I'm not gonna fight against my own group, if that's what you're asking. But that sure as hell doesn't mean I'm not going to speak my mind when I disagree. I'm out to save my own ass first, but that doesn't mean I won't try and protect anyone who is in immediate danger. My little group is my little family."
"What kind of weapon do you like to use? That's important information."
"I usually use a machete, or any other long blade. But, I can also shoot a gun. With guns, I prefer wide range. I am a horrible shot."
"Are you with a clan, kid?"
"Yes. I'm with the clan that's hold up in the bank outside of the big city."
"Now, I know it's not much relevance now-a-days, but I like to know a little about people before I cut 'em loose. Who did you lose in all this? And how did you get where you are today?"
"I was born and raised in Tennessee, but I've lived all over the place before this started. I know these roads and big cities like no one else. When this all started, I was with my brother. My mother and father hadn't made it very far. He finally chose to end it... I couldn't stop him, of course. He just got tired of running. I miss him dearly, but in this lifestyle, you can't grieve for too long or you'll be the next to go. I ran into one of the people that were holed up in the bank, and they took me in. There were only a few of them at the time. None of them were good at runs. They almost always lost someone. So, when I joined up, they cherished my arrival. They've been good to me. And they've saved my neck more than once. And I would risk my neck to save any of them. Are we done here? I'd like to go."
