How did it go down? Jade was happily going to university, majoring in Journalism. She planned to follow her dream and become a successful reporter. When Plague Y started spreading, at first she thought it was a joke, until she went home for a visit from her university to find her sister hiding in the pantry from their infected parents. She managed to rescue her younger sister and was forced to kill both of her parents, using a rolling pin she'd found in the kitchen. Lanie and her escaped the house after picking up some supplies and it was only after they left, that Jade found out that Lanie had been bit. She stayed with her sister in her dorm room, trying to comfort her before she died, by the bullet from Jade's pistol. It's not something she likes to talk about and she's not proud of any of it. If anything, she's been scarred. After, she stumbled upon the Hawthorn Clan.
