Thane's eyes darted around as he climbed the chain-linked fence surrounding the junk yard. He tossed his backpack with his skateboard attached to it over the fence and held on tightly to his hockey stick as he climbed down, his gray t-shirt catching on the fence and ripping slightly. He ignored it and jumped down onto the ground, landing on his feet. Let's just say he'd done a lot of fence jumping in his life. He was good at running away from things. People and problems. He surveyed the area, wondering how much of this shit would actually be useful, but he supposed he was willing to search anywhere that could be a source of supplies. He'd been holed up for a while in an abandoned bar on the edge of time, but he could only drink so much booze before he began to think about the monster it made his father become and then he had to get out of there.
He kicked out at an old tire that looked to be out of air and began rummaging through the landfill, hoping he'd find something of use. He kept his hockey stick clenched in his hands, his favorite weapon. He preferred a few nice hits to the head than a gun shot, that just attracted more zombies. Besides, it was fun and Thane had a lot of built up anger. His therapist would say it was therapeutic for him. She was probably a zombie now... Anyway, he wasn't stupid. There was bound to be some zombies here, he was sure of it.
Being a loner had its perks, you didn't have to deal with anybody else, at least not of the living.

Marianne moved slowly through the junkyard, the piles acting as a shield but only to some degree as she watched a group of three zombies head in the direction of a small sound that was obviously loud enough. There was junk everywhere though so who knew what could have caused it but she was here for another reason. That being said, allowing the undead to roam around while she was rummaging through the place was not the best idea and so these three would be her first targets. Silently drawing her two katana, the beauty's black boots made no sound as she stepped out in the open, though after swinging the blades twice, she charged. Rushing forward at full speed, her almost teal blue colored eyes turned cold as she stomped her left foot, skidding to the first one as she swung with her left removing the head from the body before spinning with both blades in a circle to remove the other two. Her hair fell down her back as she finally stopped, flicking the blood from her blades as she turned back to look at the three dead monsters they called the undead. "I would think they finally be alone in the junkyard, but apparently they still travel in groups." the young woman would say before finally turning her attention back to the junkyard. Her kills had been silent and swift like most trained killers would have been but right now was something different. Looking up to the area in which she heard the noise, she'd call out just loud enough for anyone in her immediate vicinity to hear. "Sorry to tell you, but you're pretty noisy."
The comment wasn't to talk about the person in any negative way, but if they were going to get around in the city much more without being caught or seen by a group, they needed a bit more practice. She could tell that whoever it was, had to be in the landfill just a bit higher up but to the right. Had she not killed these three whoever it was would have had a problem as soon as they came out. Sheathing both of the blades, she'd pull her hair into a ponytail with a light sigh, wondering how these things happened so often. It was like the undead were taking minor lessons of their own though pitiful ones at that. By now, her eyes had lightened and she was completely relaxed to the outside eye. The woman was used to dealing with these things now and nothing they did at this point really shocked her.
